Born in the early seventies I lived throughout my youth near cities packed with historical significance like Brielle, Rotterdam, Delft and Leiden. My interest in art emerged at a young age, drawing landscapes, portraits and animals. But I never pursued this as a goal.<\/strong> <\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Typically, cleaning out the attic during the first Corona lock-down, I rediscovered my old drawing and painting stuff. Some 30 odd years old, I tried to paint a bit \u2026. and immediately I was hooked, I haven\u2019t stopped painting since.<\/strong> And I get immense joy from the process of painting<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My inspiration comes from the old masters like Johannes Vermeer and Rembrandt. Each with their impressive techniques, they opened up my eyes how to observe. Yet, my style and interest is fuelled by the greats like Vincent van Gogh and Salvador Dal\u00ed.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My artwork showcases the natural beauty of animals, people and environment <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I use a mix of classic style painting I paint with oils and acrylic. <\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

No matter what I create, I strive to ensure that the paintings stay true to the fine art quality and craftsmanship of artists that I admire.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
